Caramel Apple Cake
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp soda clean
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
2 cups peeled, thinly sliced apples nuts.
1 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup raisins
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease (using 1 tbsp solid shortening) and flour 10 or 12 cup Bundt Pan. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off. In large bowl, blend all cake ingredients except nuts and raisins; 1 tsp salt beat 2 minutes at high Stir in nuts and raisins. Spoon into pan.
Bake 45-55 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool upright in pan 30 minutes; invert onto serving plate. Cool completely. In small saucepan, melt butter.
